Cathy Wolf is a graduate
of the University of Tulsa, with a BFA in sculpture, a BS in art education and a BS in psychology. After attending undergraduate at the University of Tulsa, she went to Wright State University and earned
a Masters degree in Art Therapy.
While she continues her practice
as an Art Therapist, she also is a childcare coordinator/Mother's Day out coordinator/teacher and a mother to a 17-year-old
son. During her spare time, she works on soft sculpture people called Wizzie's
that were created as an outlet, after working on her thesis, in the early 80s.
She also began to work with colored
pencils, getting away from painting for the time being, as they were easier to work with while raising a small child. Over the years she has drawn many portraits, starting with people and expanding to
animals, houses, and cars. She calls her colored pencil work photo art, as she utilizes photographs as a basis for her artwork.
Over the years she has exhibited
at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
She currently is working on the illustration
of a book for children and commissioned artworks.
