Clyde Williams was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and still lives just outside.
He started drawing at an early age
and had a God given talent for it. He took art in school and continued drawing. When he graduated from school, World War II
was raging, and like most young men his age, he went into the Armed Services. After 3 years in the Army, he had other interest.
The following years he was occupied
with raising a family and making a living. When he retired, he finally had time
and opportunity to pursue his early love of art.
He watched artists on TV, Read Art
books and magazines. Anything relating to art ….
He began Art lessons, taught by
Pat Crume, and practiced and painted extensively.
His medium of choice is oil, and
enjoys painting animals, figures, but mostly landscapes.
He belongs to 3 Rivers Art Association, in Claremore,
Ok., Brush & Pallet Club in Grove, Ok., and Alpha Rho Tau, in Tulsa, OK.
