For most of my life I have been an Easel Painter. Several years ago
I was introduced to the use of computers to create works of art. I have always worked with a quick, flexible medium for more
spontaneous results. The computer gives me far greater latitude and flexibility.
Exploration of the electronic medium offers constant challange and
growth. I use several computer programs, including Photoshop, Painter and Illustrator. Elements are drawn or photographed
and worked on to achieve the effect I am looking for. Each painting, drawing or computer art creation is a ne experience and
part or the continual learning process that keeps me alive and working.
To me, a work of art is an extension of the artist's spirit. My art
deals with the ideas and concepts that are multileveled. Some levels are apparent, while some others are hidden at first glance.
I feel that this is true in life as wellas in art. In general, I try to deal with the emotional and abstractions we all deal
with. Because each of us must deal with those influences in our own way, the viewer is invited to draw their own conclusions
regarding symbolism. Many of my works are untitled so that the view may draw upon their own life experience.
